Air Show week comes to an end, much the way the air show did, with the Snowbirds.

A surprise addition to the show line up was this Lancaster Bomber (One of only two Lancaster's still flying today, courtesy of the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum, Hamilton Ontario ) and a P-51 Mustang.

Air Show

This past weekend I took a trip down to the St. Thomas Air Show. It was a perfect day for flying and the show was spectacular, capped off by a performance from the Snowbirds. Stay tuned this week for shots from the show.

Another one burns..

Well another London Landmark, left abandoned, burns down. This time the Embassy Hotel in the Old East Village burned down earlier this week. But it was going to be torn down soon anyways to make way for a condo development. This picture was taken a few weeks ago during the first London Photowalk. The next one is coming up on the May 24th in Wortley Village. Check out Londonphotowalk.ca for more info.

London Ontario Photowalk
A couple of weeks ago I went out on a photowalk in Old East London. It was dubbed "London's First Official" Photowalk. About 14 people came out, and we spent a few hours walking about the Old East Village shooting photos and chatting. Check out the tag "lopw" on Fuzzification for some of my pics (more to come), or check out The London Ontario Photowalk Flickr Group for shots from the others who came out.

Rally
I went downtown on Thursday to see what sort of spectacle the pro-coalition rally would be. It was loud and the people were very enthusiastic. Even the anarchists showed up. They tried to counter rally, but I think their message got lost. In fairness, I thought I'd check out the anti-coalition rally today, but when I got there (at a time when I thought the rally would be in full fervor)all I found was one idling short bus plastered with propaganda placards and a few people loitering about. Not the enthusiastic rally I expected. Maybe the inclement weather drove the supporters to shelter, or maybe they just think they won, and didn't bother showing up. Either way, these pictures are from the pro-coalition rally that took place here in London, Thursday afternoon. If anyone can give an explanation behind the anarchist's symbols (circle-e and circle-r)leave a comment, I'm curious.
*Update 12/07/08 - According to the newspaper, they "gathered by the hundreds" to rally here in London. I was just late.
