Morning walk

I woke up pretty early this morning, and for some reason I was compelled to go for a walk. I decided I'd find some place to get some breakfast. It was really humid and the sun was trying to peak through the clouds. While walking I spied these poppies from across the road adjacent to a little "rural" alcove in the city. (correct me if I'm wrong and they're not poppies, I don't know much about flowers).

Floating

A couple of teens had the right idea today. They made a raft and spent the day playing Tom and Huck, lazily floating down the Thames river. The raft did look kinda rickety though, but I guess that's part of the adventure!

Three

I took a little walk around the woods near my place this afternoon. I was surprised when I found the forest floor covered in white trilliums (there were some pinkish ones too). I've lived near forests almost my entire life and I've never seen so many trilliums in one place.
